We have classes confirmed (and one
other possible) for July (beginning on the
6th):
Monday/Wednesday, 12:00-2:00,
"Creating/Using Spreadsheets", learn how to
get the computer to create tables where the
computer does all the math for you, how to
format the sheet for many different types of
data entry, how to print out those sheets,
create if/then predictions, transferring
that data information into colorful charts
and graphs, and even more.
Monday/Wednesday, 3:00-5:00, "Everyday
Computing with Windows", this is our
"intermediate" level class where students
really learn how to make the computer work
for you, rather than you working for the
computer. Learn about creating shortcuts,
creating folders to save files and finding
files, copying/moving folders and files,
updating your computers, creating users, and
lots more.
Monday/Wednesday, 6:00-8:00, "Computers for the
Total Beginner", this is our very first class
for students new to computers. Maybe they just
bought their first computer or got a "hand me
up" from their kids, but have no idea what it's
all about. They will learn about the parts of
the computer, how to connect it all up, how to
turn it on/off, how to use the keyboard and
especially the mouse, some of the basic programs
that come with the computer, and even more (but
not too much).
12:00-2:00: "Navigating the Internet" for those
wanting to learn everything about how the
Internet works, how to get on
the Internet, how to move around the
Internet, how to search safely on the
Internet, how to save things off the
Internet, how to print off the Internet, and
much more.
Tuesday/Thursday, 3:00-5:00, "Bixler's Best
Basic Commands", a class for beginners wanting
to learn about basic terminal commands (the
thing that makes Linux so powerful), this is a
beginners level class so come see what it's all
about.
